When you call someone on their cellphone, but they don’t have your number in their phone, so they ignore your call. Immediately thereafter, they send you a text message asking “Who’s this?”
If you want to know who it is, just pick up the phone. What if it was, I don’t know, your doctor’s office? You can’t text-message your doctor’s office. Jeez Louise.
I’ve been sick since last night - horrible, whole-body-aching, scratchy throat, headachey, dizzy nonsense. After lying pathetically on the couch all morning, sipping tea and orange juice, I finally made a big pot of veggie broth, tossed back some foul DayQuil, showered, and made myself a delicious lunch.
Lunch: soba noodles cooked in said veggie broth with more ladled over them in the bowl, topped with minced garlic and ginger gently cooked in sesame oil, plus minced green onion. Feel-better comfort food ahoy.
Defrosted frozen spinach seasoned with a bit of cayenne and some dulse & garlic seasoning (which is droolworthy on boxed macaroni and cheese, by-the-by) topped with a nice little pile of kimchi.
Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I like eating stinky foods.
Last night I had a dream that my friend KT and I were at the Academy Awards with Meryl Streep. We were all sitting up in a balcony somewhere, and Meryl was very giggly, quite possibly due to all the champagne and wine being carried around by waiters. Some people down on the stage performed this fabulous rendition of the Animaniacs theme song. I remember thinking, “This is the best moment of my life. Tomorrow I need to write a Tumblr entry about this.”
